S211 E55K Estate on AT

Apparently the seller had a call late last night from someone who offered full asking price but he was happy to still go through with the sale with me as agreed. Not the cheapest one I could have bought but I feel it is one of the best so worth paying a little more I think.

Got a train early this morning into London with my son (work experience!) then train from Paddington to Bristol. Drove back via Reading and collected a load of speakers on the way back for our outbuilding play/games room project. So worked out very well. Very good and successful day ;)

Congrats and there was me thinking it's expensive at £16k and wont sell.

Very nice… enjoy it.
Thank you. I will. It was a pleasure to drive back from Bristol in. I never forgot how good an E55K wagon was but I did forget a little of how very very good they really are. It is a relief to finally get to a happy place as the hours looking and finding what you are looking for is expensive and takes its toll. I am sure we all know and have been there many times.

Thanks. Yes, I think there could be a little premium to pay for some examples but I think it is worth it. It has a few niggly issues that all take a bit of time to resolve but I can do this over a few years as none are massively large or urgent issues really.

I think there is a wide range of pricing on cars like this not just E55K wagons. There is a huge difference as we all know between the lesser and better cars. You can easily spend many thousands making a lesser one better but it still doesn't often ever get to a resale value of a car that starter from a better point in the first place. Just IMHO of course but have seen this a lot especially in the Maserati space.

Just need to prep the S211 E500 Estate for sale now ;)

@rockits What a nice example! Think I saw it for sale on the facebook owner pages. Great (and rare) colour

Thanks. Interesting....don't have a FB account but the seller was a decent guy and a real enthusiast. So it seems a pretty decent example so far. Not sure I've seen an E55K come up for sale in Flint Grey for quite a few years so refreshing to not be looking at another silver one.

I’ve never seen one either. That’s a handsome thing. Al things happen for a reason.

That looks great, love the colour !

Seems a pretty.rare colour. Saw one local to me in Flint Grey but was a 2008 E500 I think. Another rare car and colour.

I always wondered about fate and things happen for a reason as doubted it so much last few years. Maybe once it has worked in my favour.

Nice one just popped up but more than happy with mine and couldn't do black.

They might need to improve their ad a bit and ad some more pics.......but maybe not if it is enough to get someone there to look at it.

Seems to have done most of its miles in the 3-5 years then not so much after with some periods laid up or not doing much.
