Just acquired a s212 E250 with 7g tronic plus.Day's before I bought the car from a main dealer the transmission fluid was changed and a service A completed. After 2wks and a 1000miles the autobox when shifting out of drive into N or P has been disengaging with a clunk.
Any advice is this normal or signs of future issues the car has 49k on the clock and the steering column shifter.

That isn't normal.
When my car goes into Park, i.e. push the button on the end of the column shift lever, the engine tone changes but there is no clunk.
Did the dealer do the oil change correctly? Did they use the correct ATF?
The ATF should be 236.15 and is a blue/green colour. A full change takes 9 litres and that would include draining the Torque Converter. Main dealers don't include the TC by default. I would also be suspicious on their use of the correct spec ATF - they might have used the previous spec (236.14).
That said, the change isn't scheduled until 77,000 miles or 5 years. Your car only has a low mileage but might qualify by the age.

Main dealer have taken car back and given me a loan car,so wait and see what they say.I would hope the transmission change was done properly as it's a well known main dealer. That said when I got car I always Check tyre pressures etc and they ranged from 26 psi to 29 psi when min was shown as 38 psi and it was missing it's tool kit, jack...so have to wait and see.
They gave me a new c250 AMG 9g tronic other than kick down silky smooth.

Well it's been with MB dealer for 3 day's and it requires a new torque converter, compressor and front shocks but they are waiting for torque converter and compressor to come over from germany.....lucky I went to main dealer to buy as so far they been great.

Hi, that sounds like a lot of work to be done on a car with 49k on it.
Is it the suspension compressor that they are replacing?

At least you aren't footing the bill.
Good luck with it all.

Yes it's the suspension compressor and torque converter which are the big ticket items I think

Sounds odd that 3 major faults were not picked-up by the dealer when inspecting the car before putting it on the forecourt to be sold as 'Approved Used'... or during the service. At any rate good luck and hope they sort it quickly .

Also, is it a 2013 car?

Yes 2013 the very last of the twin headlight models
