I developed a problem with the airmatic compressor. It was still working and producing air. It was a very week airflow so I stripped down the compressor (after reading that a repair kit could fix the problem) I could see the piston ring inside looked worn. After days and days of searching for the correct repair kit, I had 1 sent out to me but unfortunately it would a appear it's for the w212 model. (The design in the piston is slightly different so the new piston ring didnt fit).
I've been on the wabco website and it seems very difficult to get parts or even numbers if you not a registered technician. Anyway...
I've decided to replace the hole compressor with a much cheaper 1 from aerosus. I've read a lot of mixed reviews about the bags and struts but haven't found much in the way of the compressor units. So I've ordered the unit, they give a 2 year manufacturer warranty.
Has any1 found a decent repair kit for the s213 wabco compressor? It looks as though the piston needs to be split to fit the piston ring 🤷🏻‍♂️

(Picture of the used piston with ring still attached)

So I received my new compressor from aerosus, it cost me £400 it's identical to the original 1 apart from it didn't come with the rubbers for the mounting bracket easy enough to fit and it cured the problem straight away, I've been driving it for a week now so fingers crossed 🤞it's fixed for good. no fault delete needed.
I am going to keep an eye on the suspension hight for leaks etc

I have very recently refurbished my Wabco compressor with the kit mentioned above by AMGeed. The new piston ring was almost identical and fitted very well. According to my MB2 diagnostic the pressure has increased from the old 2.6 bar to 4.8. Pump runs well.

S211 car but looks to be the very same pump and piston head.
