S213 E63 coolant temperature slow to warm up..

Where are you taking your readings from Brian?

I also have the digital display on the S, it's the same as my old E63s one but it doesn't show a water temperature anywhere as far as I know?

The only coolant temp on mine seems to be at the base of the tacho, dependant upon which display you have showing.

This is the temp display I have: -



Top is oil temperature, lower is transmission temp.

I can't get to the car currently as it's on the lift in the garage for the winter.

Thank you Dave, thick t#@t that I am, transmission temp…. never really took that much notice and just assumed…. problem solved. Yes, the coolant is just a warning light, message

The coolant temperature can be found in the “service “ menu.
