S320 CDI 2007 (W221) DPF full

Hi all,

I have a issue with the above car. I keep on getting this error "3148 The fill level of the diesel particulate filter is too high". I tried clearing the error but no luck.
I've changed the following:

DPF unit (almost £2k)
and Pressure sensor

One last thing I just tried was disconnecting all the exhaust sensors one by one and confirmed the machine returned the error. However, when i disconnect the lambda sensor only the "3148 The fill level of the diesel particulate filter is too high" came up (no additional errors). Does this mean the lambda is faulty?

Any suggestions?

Have you had thr car on a star and regenerated it?

No havent been on a star machine only got Bosch KTS and Snap on - no option to re generate.

So do I need a star machine or is there another method?

Got some dpf readings:

Engine off:

Soot: 2998%
Ash: 4%
Back pressure: 1270

Engine on (idle):

Soot: 2998%
Ash: 4%
Back pressure: 1045

Get it on a star mate, will save a lot of hassle.

Just for future ref the issue is now resolved. Had to put it on a star machine and regenerate the DPF unit (involved flashing the ecu)
