S320
Hi guys and gals.
I'm having a problem with my 2000 S320. When I put my foot on the accelerator pedal the car doesn't move for about 5 seconds.. I've tried plugging in the obd tool. It comes up with throttle position sensor code.
I was able to clear the code, and it worked for a couple of days. Then it happened again. This time I did the Eco reset, key on, press accelerator for 5 seconds, key off, release accelerator, wait 3 mins ect. That also worked, but then it happened again the next day. Last.friday I had to drive home like that.

Is there anything else.i can do. Or.have I got to get the wallet out again lol.

Also where is the throttle position sensor ???

Would seem your throttle position sensor has gone wrong, they are not a fortune to buy but I seem to remember it is not a straight forward buy and fit,I think you need a star on it,so it might pay to take it to a indy.

I replaced a car with similar problem with something similar to this one. ECU was giving throttle position code. Messed about with what CLK320 lists above in the url link aswell with no success. Was strange. It turned out had to change the whole accelerator throttle box.

it can get a bit confusing sometimes with codes between crankshaft, throttle and pedal .
