Took my c43 along to wheels in-motion a couple of weeks ago for 4 wheel alingnment and to sort geometry etc, Tony who runs the business was very helpful and professional , but was unable to correct the camber and thought that perhaps the springs may have sagged causing the camber to be incorrect.I needed the trim height or ride height but have had trouble getting this dispite some suggestions on how to find it on an earlier thread. Anyone on here had to change their springs for the same reason? cheers Leigh

i havent changed mine! i have a c180 w202! but if you look straight at the tyre the arch is only just above! its not lowered! and the springs arnt broken! so i put it down to old springs! ill get a pic 2 moz

thanks for that , how does that compare to others you have seen ?

well this pic is off my C230 kompressor! which i would have thaught would be lower than a c180! all the other w202's i have seen are alot higher on the back!
have you looked in you owners manual! that will have the dimentions for the car!
might help

Rust on both.:D

The best way to compare heights is to measure from wheel centre to top of arch, this way avoids any variances caused by wheel/tyre combinations.

Yes, thats what i was told by wheels-inmotion, maybe if i measure mine in that way and put measurements on here , may get some comparisons from you guys?

Was WIM trying to target a specific measurement ?????

Was it the front AND rear cambers out of spec ?????????

If not both; which ???

Both fronts. I have seen the data sheet.

I have had a think about this. Did WIM select the right car?

Hi,
This is my C43, taken about a week after fitting new standard springs from MB and new Bilstein (shorter travel) Shocks, B4 or B8's.

IIRC WIM used "W202 Sport" as the basis for my checkup, as the C43 wasn't listed.

Not sure this works though?

I can measure my wheel centre > arch distance if you need it.

If that is the case I don't think that's quite correct. I will have to check the camber values on WIS to be sure.

The C43 has a huge V8 under the bonnet so maybe slightly lower than a 202 "sport". I am not sure tbh and will have to check the camber values on WIS (tomorrow)
