Okay, whats a SAM and why do I need to spend £200 +labour to replace it?

Stealership has informed me I need a new one and the only issue I have is that the rear lights are on all the time...? Has anyone had experience of a dodgy rear SAM ? (ooh err)?

Thanks

Surface to Air missile. Stealers are having a laugh, not fitted to your car. Were common on Staff Cars during the early 40s, but now, sadly, discontinued.

I'll bet the "M" is for module.

I appreciate this isn't the answer you are looking for - but I would say you are now one third of the way to knowing the complete answer.:D

Erm, thanks guys...

So where are we

S -
A -
M - Module

Anymore guesses from anyone, this thing is expensive to replace?

Here we go SAM Signal Acquisition Module.;)

Hope that clears that up!:D

Actually it's the Rear Signal Acquisition & Actuation Module :P

(I think that makes it SAAAM!)

Controls all your rear indicator lighting system brakes, reversing, fog, indicators etc but essentially is a little bit of plastic with a few microchips it it
