CLS500 4.7TT 2012,, SL350 09, 996 cab, all current. Gone :CLS 55 E500 W211, 2x M5s and too many 911s
Ok the car is CLS55 w219 with ntg1 full command with satnav drive in the boot.Used it this morning to go from Weybridge to Milton Keynes. Totally fine as usual until I come off the M1 at MK. it then goes mad showing me to be off road and giving multiple instructions all of which don't exist. Eventually got to where I was going using google maps.
Woudn't work on the way home either.
This is the current state:
Nav turns on ok
Can enter destinations
It says your route is being calculated as normal
BUT the map that is shown is nothing to do with where I am (or where I am going) It says I am near Milton Keynes when I am in Weybridge.
The arrow seems to move with me as I drive but because the map is nothing to do with where I am it goes off road and gets hysterical with instructions.
Its the same disc I have used for 18 months and I have also tried the previous disc which also places me near Milton Keynes This is true both on nav and map functions.
The system obviously cant locate my current position which means it cant work.
All the audio and tel and video functions are working normally
Anybody got any ideas how to correct this??

thanks. when you say fits in do you mean it just plugs in or is it a take it to bits and solder job (which I am definitely not capable of!)

i fitted one of these , i drilled a hole in the parcel shelf and threaded the cable into the boot , stuck the unit to the rear glass corner , you remove the original plug and then plug this in, it found 8 satellites instantly, also its very small and easy to hide tbh .. Mercedes Benz GPS Retrofit Antenna Fakra COMAND APS NTG1 NTG2 NTG4 NTG2.5 NTG4.5 | eBay

you have to remove the side panel and the ntg1 unit in the boot , pretty easy though ...

Quick update. Command Online confirmed it was the GPS antenna and fitted a new one UNDER the parcel shelf and totally out of sight so no change to OEM look. One hour and a cup of coffee later and all was done and working perfectly. Good guys (and girls) Thanks

Actually I think they are called Command Europe now.........

Especially after reading your post, personally i think mercedes sat nave are a joke, as mine regularly tells me to go down 1 way streets, down dead ends, tells you to turn after the junction and says your going the wrong way and you need to do a u turn when you know you are going the right way, i also have a tomtom and i have never had these issues with it
