Hoping someone can help here before I take to the garage. I have a 2009 SL63. All been fine in the 8yrs I’ve had it but last weekend it threw a paddy. Had forgotten to put trickle charger on and car been sat a few weeks. When I went to start it all hell broke loose. All sorts of errors flashed up but it started fine. Had this before with flat consumer battery and normally once started the car is fine but this time the hazards started flashing and wouldn’t go off. Whatever was going on was pulling a lot of current. Ended up pulling both batteries off the car and charging off the car. That fixed things except now when I go to start the car I’m getting a red warning about reduced braking power. The brake pedal sinks to the floor but is fine once started. The SBC then won’t work but again is fine after 10-15mins of driving. Is this the SBC on the way out? I know in the US they have been getting these done under warranty. Any suggestions in what to do next?

SBC pumps have a 25 warranty in the USA. Some UK owners have been in successful in getting their local MB dealer to get the pump refurbished/reconditioned for free and others :( have not. If you are prepared/able to do the work yourself you can bring the cost down by sending it off yourself and refitting, etc after it comes back working.

I've seen this company recommended BUT I can not vouch for them as I have no personal experience.

I hope that helps.
