Hello everyone!

There are quite a few scratches on the passenger windows of my car, I was wondering what the best way to remove these are? Many thanks in advance.

Yes and yes, toothpaste is mildly abrasive so works well on glass, as said if the scratches are very fine.

If the scratches are deeper I think you may need new glass

Unless the scratches are extremely minor, only new glass will fix it.

Doubt if you can do it by hand as toughened glass is hard as nails, might need this :

Just removed a scratch on my windscreen that was caused by scraping the windscreen using the kit off amazon, alternatively get a price from a windscreen outfit to polish for you.
