Screen Swap on a C63 - can it be done ?

Sorry if this question has been asked already!

I'm currently looking into buying a C63S and was looking at a few bits one thing I didn't like was the small screen size on the pre face lift models.

I was wondering is it possible to swap the smaller screen for the original 10.2 inch screen that comes the face lift models?

Same applies for the dash can that be upgraded too?

I don't want to go down the route of Andriod screen or after market sluggish responsive nonsense

Has anyone done this or know of a company that can do this? Does it work?

Any help would be much appreciated

It's not just the screen, it's both the screen and the infotainment unit that will need to be replaced.

The pre-facelift W205 was equipped with COMAND NTG5*2, while the facelift model had COMAND NTG5.5 - these are two different units.

You can ask COMAND UK if they can do this upgrade (and they might also know whether the dash can be upgraded): www.comandonline.co.uk.

This can be done but......It will cost thousands. You are better off buying a newer car. Not only that but it requires use of nasty Chinese emulators. @richard may well have a view also.

The bigger screen came with the Premium Plus pack didn't it? Not just because it was a face lift.

There are two screen option. the size depends on the audio unit. However, fitting the newer screen and dashboard etc from a facelifted car to a pre facelift is what is horrendously expensive. If the car has the entry level audio system with a small screen then this can be changed as MarkJay says, by upgrading to comand but it wont give you a 10.25" (facelifted) screen. The pre facelifted Comand screen is about 8" thats all.
