Hi

As per the title

I am weighing up getting my drivers seat bolster repaired (artico) or fitting another set of all leather seats

Question to ask, I have the heated seats, I assume it wouldnt cause a problem with me going for non heated leather seats, ie the connectors will still connect up all ok ?

Thanks

Why not transfer the heating elements while they’re out?

I have very basic DIY skills, enough to swap seats and thats about it !

Have you had a quote for repair? If so, how much was it if you don't mind me asking? Just because I have a small tear/flaking on the edge of the base of my driver's seat, also Artico just before it meets the suede/alcantara so would be interested in finding out a ball park figure. Mine's not bad enough to consider replacing the seat though.

I have had quotes ranging from £220 (South Coast) to £350 in Cambridgeshire

Wow that's quite a lot, I'm hoping for cheaper if I can find someone around Yorkshire otherwise I think I'll just leave mine be.

A full leather interior is highly likely to have heated seats. Leather seats arenmt much fun without heating in the winter!

As BD says, if you go full leather you need heated seats for winter if you don't want earache from the passenger seat/driving instructor/resident satnav!! I have them in both cars, as well as airscarf in the SLK, so I speak from experience!!
