- 02 Clk 230K Cabriolet. Mercedes SLK, 85 Ford Granada 2.8 Executive.
My 2002 CLK 230K cabriolet had the EML light on. The car did not go into limp mode. I took it to the local garage who put it through his diagnostic machine and it threw out the secondary air pump code. He said it could be a big job to find the fault and wouldn't give me price for repairing it so we just used it for a while as normal.
Last week I took it to the guy who has looked after my other Mercs and BMWs and fearing the worst I just let him get on with it.
I took it there in the morning and it was ready in the afternoon. He put it on a different diagnostic machine and found lots of old data on it so he cleared the lot and the light went out and he charged me £65 ($100).
