servicing

Roughly every 10-15k or every year.

I have the 2008 version of the c220 - servicing interval is 15500 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. You'll find a message appears in the speedo when you're close to service time - it counts down the days from 30, every time you put the key in the ignition! You can also look at Assyst in the menus to find when the car thinks it will next need servicing.

This is one annoyance of the 204 compared to the 203 I had before - where the servicing interval was 15500 miles or 2 years - these days we only do about 7k miles pa, so the 203 service was every 2 years, now it's annnual - and my A service at MB Ashford just cost me £280 (had to get it done there in case there were problems - the warranty only had a few days left and I'm not renewing it!!). I dread to think what they'd want for a B service.

I always sign up for the service plan, just £27 a month on current c class. Can choose 2,3 or 4 services and transferable to next car if needed. Covers all additional service costs so no surprises and no big bill on service day as already paid for. Works out cheaper than just paying for service and any filter, fluids changes etc.

Yes amazing the dealer didn't try and sell it to you.

Just be careful when you go for the service plan. They often miss out loads of service items. We see it time and time again!

You'll regret going to Ashford Mercedes especially if you have given them your phone number and email address. I was bombarded with post, emails, texts and telephone calls, I contacted there customer services and the telephone calls stopped but not the post or emails, then I got a reminder call to remind me of my coming MOT, I booked the car in and almost instantly the telephone calls and texts started again.
again I contacted customer services and again the calls stopped. unfortunately they left something undone on the MOT and I had to take it back, yep you guessed it, the calls started again, in the end the only way to stop it was to tell them I had sold the car, its all quiet now and has been for over a year. :-).
