mercedes 2006 220cdi what is the mileage between the A and B service, thanks for any help,:thumb:

Your 2006 car will be on flexible service schedule.

Go by what the onboard ASYST tells you.

Depending on the type of oil used, it will be either 9,000 miles or 13,000 miles.

However... if your annual mileage is low, then ASYST will switch to time-based scheduling, in which case you will see at some point a message saying '28 days to Service A' etc.

When the annual mileage is low, ASYST will let you run anything from 15 to 18 months between services. It will also take into account the type of driving and how many times the engine was started etc.

Just in case this sounds a bit unpredictable... it is, which is why from MY 2007 MB simplified the service schedule and it is now specified as every 12 months. So you could simply have the car serviced every 12 months if you don't want to wait for ASYST to request the service.

Also... Service A snd Service B simply alternate, so if the last service was Service A, then the next one will be Service B, and the next one after that will be Service A again, and so it goes.

Sorry, should have said it is called ASSYST PLUS.

As I remember, the service interval on my 2001 S203 C270 was 15.5k miles or 2 years, whichever came first - and the 15.5k miles was because she was on fully synthetic oil. I would imagine that your 2006 W203 C220 would be the same. The 2008 S204 C220 I now have, also on fully synthetic, is 15.5k miles or 1 year, whichever comes first, and IMHO MB changed things to get more work for their workshops - the change adds about £150-200 per year to the servicing cost compared to my S203!!

There are three versions of ASSYST, depending on the model year:

Mercedes-Benz UK - Servicing - Service Intervals
