Should I have two cabin filters?

I popped the battery cover off only to find the blower motor is sitting under the scuttle completely exposed?? Is there meant to be something else here like a primary air filter? When I do a parts look up on a few motor factor websites, there is more than one cabin filter that comes up, so I was trying to find if these do have two.

Its a 2012/13 S204 C180 1.6L.
