SL R230 ABC Suspension

All,

Sorry for the potentially stupid question....

Can someone tell me what the differences are between ABC that my SL has and AIR that my ML has please. I know ones air and the other hydraulic but on the SL, will it always sit level even if its on uneven road? i.e will one side of the car look higher than the other to compensate?
