Hi

I am looking for a sporty car for my Wife, we have narrowed the choices to SL320 Edition, SLK, BMW Z4, Porsche Boxster. I think that a GT like the SL would suit her driving style best, as she like a comfortable car, my Brother-in-law has a Lexus SC430 and she likes the way that drives.

My preference is the SL as it has four seats and is comfortable to drive and I love them, however my wife's priority are that is must be a convertible and economical.

I had an R129 SL500 a few years ago, so am fairly familiar with them.

I have found two SL Editions, that we are going to look at, what are the things to look for?

Best regards

Tan

Hi

We went to view an SL320 edition today, it was a lovely looking example and well priced at a shade under £13k, but alas its no o be as my wife thinks it looks too old.

If anyone is interested I can post the details, incase anyone else is interested.

Regards

Tan

go for w124 convertible, it is classic and appreciating and proper 2+2, but for engine choice be careful with sl 320 sl 300 24v both have suspect wiring looms and gearbox going faulty that is why str8 12v 300 the oldest or 500 are very reliable.
