SL500
Hi everyone
i am new to this club
Just bought a 1996 SL 500 and i want to take it back to original
Can some one tell me what the original wheels should be
Thanks

From memory 16" 15-hole were standard, with 16" 8-hole or AMG multi-part as cost options. I can check the price list tonight.

welcome, Do you looking for at amazon?

September 1996 UK pricelist:

Standard: 16" 12 hole alloys

Option code 652: 16" 8 hole alloys (£189.25)
Option code 793: 18" AMG multi-piece alloys (£4,885.80)

17" 3-piece alloys were the previous AMG wheel option. They were replaced by the 2-piece 18" AMG I style (as fitted to my car).

It's rare to see an R129 with the standard 16" 12 hole wheels because the 8 holes were such a cheap upgrade. So many people assume those were standard fit.

I have the standard 6 hole facelift wheels on my MY2000 - They are pretty unpleasant IMHO

I agree. I don't personally like the wheels used on the Silver Arrows edition either!
