Not surprising. Secondhand prices generally don't reflect what MB charge however. SL55 brakes appear on eBay now and again and as complete sets for what he wants for the calipers.

True, and sometimes it's cheaper to buy brand new from the parts counter than to buy second-hand from ebay

The oem price I posted was for reference only, I didn't want to see someone bidding those calipers up to a silly(er) price than neccessary

Are they not made by Brembo anyway? the red brembos go for far less with discs as well, quick repaint, service and AMG logos and your on a winner

THESE ARE VERY RARE ITEMS WHICH COST A HUGE AMOUNT AT THE DEALERS

Rare? They are as rare as the SL55 which is about 1 in 3 of SLs that I see on the road! Huge amount at the dealers? Yes, however it's difficult to compare here because the ones from the stealership have not already covered 100k miles!

Look cheap at their current price though
