I've just dropped it off at Shinerama for a paint correction detail (paint correction, seal and wax) and a few other minor bits of cleaning.

I did polish it myself last year with pretty good results but was very cautious due to not wanting to go to far. Due to recovering from an accident I was unable to wash it over last winter so used a hand car wash so lots of swirls returned. I concluded that it would be best to get it done professionally then just keep it nice myself.

They're not doing the interior, wheels or engine bay as I keep those to a reasonable standard myself.

A full write up and pictures will follow....

Proper car!

Stunning job there, looks factory fresh.

Hope you don't mind I snooped through your photobucket and noticed the paint has a lot of green pearl. What colour is it exactly?

It's 021 LCP Green apparently. A Designo option. Photobucket seems to have changed it a bit. I think if you view the same pics on the Shinearama Facebook page the colours are more true.

Shinerama took some pictures and videos of work in progress which they are going to give me copies of so I'll post them in due course. I'd like to take some in a decent outdoor setting too if I get the chance. I did take some outside their workshop but there were cars everywhere so no shots I like.

Ok, so as far as I know it underwent a two stage polish followed by a wipe down with IPA then a coating of G-Techniq C1 followed by Chemical Guys Lava Paste Wax to finish. The metal sill plates were also cleaned up and a few other bits and bobs. Once I got home I gave most of the interior leather another clean then applied protector/conditioner.

It's already covered in fine dust!

We went out for a drive this evening and were planning on stopping to take a few pictures but couldn't be bothered stopping in the end so just drove incorporating a drive through a tunnel to try the new exhaust.

just seen this looks great dan

my car could do with a detail, im just using it too much to do it as the moment.
Last thing that needs doing now to make it A1 condition is the bodywork.

Hello All, Just had my CL done by Shinearama. The boot carpet looks like Lords cricket ground - lol. Great job, very pleased. Picture posted on their FB page. Daren't drive it now - lol.

Hi Dan,

Any photo's/video's ??

I've not been on for a while.

Shinearama Detailing: Varicolour Mercedes SL60 AMG - Detailing World

It actually went back in as apparently applying the top coat had introduced holograms. Shinerama (now De Ville) were brilliant about sorting it out and I would recommend them without hesitation.
