This kind of thing in the marketplace makes me roll up with laughter. Already they are pushing the boundaries on price at £55k let alone £60k.

I know it is a 37k mile car but for a car of that alleged quality for sale and retail prep'd I am pretty shocked at how little it has been prep'd. A quick spruce up and stick it up for sale at silly money and see if some idiot comes along with the cash it seems!

The door panels seem knackered on the passenger side with ripples across them.
The alloy centre caps are worn and are cheap thing to replace but make a big difference.
The brake callipers are rusty and look awful.
The drivers seat bolster piping is worn.
The drivers side B pillar seal is worn.
Weird non-OEM floor mats.

I am sure there will be much more you could pick fault in but these are easy cost effective fixes. What else haven't they done. I would want this car perfect for that price.

I think it's more than rippled, something's been dragged down the panel and snagged/torn it. Retrim required.

If you look at the last picture on the PH advert (#12) you'll notice rust on the front wing above the bumper if you zoom in a bit...

As mentioned, I've seen better presented cars for a lot less money, even though it is a relatively desirable model.

was tempted to go and look at it but haven't had the time. its still for sale I believe. I wonder who owns it?

I rather like the colour, but decided to buy something 10% the cost, one third it's age and probably more fun;)
...and I don't really mind how or where my wife parks it! In fact, it's turned out to be pretty epic:rolleyes:

Oh! and the SL has 'suffered' another price drop to £49k....

Hi,
That car seems to have led a very hard life for 37,000 miles!
Maybe it has had a bit of a haircut?
Cheers
Steve

I agree, the car certainly doesn't look like a 37k mile example - it's been for sale for ages.

My own example has 52k miles I think and there is no comparison.

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be many good examples left now - I have a customer & friend who is waiting for a good SL60 to come up but it doesn't seem to be happening!

Hi doodle, is this the same car at seraph ? I’m getting closer to purchase but am waiting for an answer from amg to confirm the car! Thank you

Coutts were the previous occupiers of the site Seraph now reside in. That suggests they took on more than just the building, unless it's a coincidence of biblical proportions.

It had been sat around for a while back in 2018, and it's done almost nothing in the ensuing 3 years since. My wallet would be staying closed.

on the basis of it being sat around and not being worked? Or because of the price?
