Hello, I need to fit a new one, how do these switches come out?
I've tried, unsuccessfully with my plastic trim tools, but it's not moving.
Does the door card have to come off for this 'simple job'?
Thanks.

I doubt an SLK window switch is much different to a W211 E class, so yes, the door card does need to come off. The switch is attached to the door card.
On the W211 the window switch is held in place by a small phillips head screw. I needed a right angled screwdriver bit to get at the screw.

Thanks for that, makes sense.

Be careful removing the door card. If its like the W211 there is a ribbon cable that needs disconnecting, along with the plugs in the door control module before removing it away from the car.

Just to wrap this up, the door card had to come off.
Two very deep torx screws which were a pain, 2 easy ones behind covers, and as said, a tiny torx screw holding the switch in.
All done in a frustrating 30 minutes.
This should.d have been a simple push in switch, 1 minute job, like other mercedes 'rear' switches.
Very over engineered!
Thanks to all who gave advice.

Coincidence?
Door card back on, windows working great, but threw up a TPM not connecting code within 2-3 miles of driving today.
Front left, same side as the passenger door.
Connected or not?

Just had the car down to Protyre, whom I trust.
No faults found on any TPM sender so it must be something I've done.
Door card back off this afternoon, perhaps a wire, related to the receiver has become unattached on reassembly?
