Slk damp boot issue

Having this issue with my r171 2008. Damp boot wheel well cover and condensation under bootlid. Dried it out, found damp under spare wheel. Looked today after several days and its been raining, no water under bootlid, but spare wheel is slighty damp. Cant see water getting in from top, should i say no signs, can it be the cold and heat from exhaust and that temp is low at mo?

Think i have located all drainage holes too.
Very annoying

the rear lights and third brake light are the usual culprits. Hopefully Someone with a bit more SLK knowledge Can help.

Could be rubber seals. Try cleaning all the seals and applying gummi pfledge

Ok. Still having issues, heavy downpour my slk dont like.
Have located the area, pipe from rear screen to back panel clean. Have taken the pipes off and run hose down the bit of pipe that goes behind rear panel and flows under car this is clear. Heavy rain and water gathers on the pan under boot separator then trickles down and i get wet carpet bottom of rear arch trims, so its trickling down from that area. Had it happen both sides. I cant access the pipe that sits behind rear panel that goes down to the floor and gets rid of the water. So basically its either end of the pipes. Trying to explain this best i can. All seals gummi pfleged. Ran hose over boot and all good. Does parking car on kerb cause this issue?

I hear people do get some water on the boot separator which can then drip to the pan underneath.

Took me a while to sort the leaks on my car, but whilst it happening I used a few pingi moisture absorbing pads. When microwaved to dry out was amazing the amount of steam released.
Might be worth a few whilst you sort your leak out and help with the condensation.

The leaks I had were on my ML in the boot area. The tailgate lift seal on drivers side was responsible for 1 leak. Another leak was due to a blanking seal/grommet on the exact opposite site which was sneakily hidden behind some plastic trim.

i had Thai just after we bought the car. For me it was at the rearmost seal (under the window) where it here is overlap to which looks like 2 seals. It would drip through there and settle on the tray. Vaseline worked for a bit but then washed away, So I tried some marine glue that is supposed to fill small gaps. It’s white almost like PVA glue. It worked a treat and has been water tight since.

Looking in to this further, on either side of the rear seal under window, underneath there is a foam rubber pad, both sides, that is to add water tightness. I have ordered some new ones as the ones i have are peeling away. See what happens

Also going back to using the gummi pflege hard stick to proper rub in.to seals.
Was using the liquid stuff with sponge tip and i dont think its as good.
Damn shame these.bloody leaks.
Just put in a pioneer head unit too, so just wanting it to be all sorted now, if not will send to a convertible specialist
