I have been looking for smoked tailights for my W203 for some months but no luck. Hence, i decided to do the job myself. Masked up, sprayed 2 coats of transparent black, let dry for 24 hours followed by 2 coats of clear lacquer. I quite like the new look suits my already black car, and a lot cheaper. My personal preference would have been to have the lights less tinted or tint the clear parts and leave the red bits.

Although I'm sure they look great.

As car already has brake light on bootlid, i considered the indicators and reversing lights more of a safety issue so decided to keep clear with no tint.

A job well done. Adds that extra touch to the beefy look the car gives.

This was a big thing to do in the USA, some like it with the white bit done as on AMG cars
