I completed a job today that I'd been meaning to do since getting the car - I almost held out to upset the purists but I much prefer the cleaner lines. I also polished the car to within an inch of its life before going through a whole load of detailing stuff which is best left for a different forum. Anyway on to the change and also a few gratuitous shots of the car....

As it was before I started playing

After lots of Tardis/waiting/scraping and polishing

Tardis is one of the best products that is out there - does exactly what it says on the bottle.

On to the gratuitous 'clean' shots...

Doesn't look any different in the photos, really; it looked pretty clean before.

That looks beautiful and I appreciate the work that must have gone into it.

I also prefer the clean look at the rear (have de-badged mine) and it makes it so much easier to keep tidy looking. :)

But the purists are happy now :D.

I'd have removed the AMG badge but left he SL500 (cus it's not a 350).

Lovely colour.

I like the cleaner look without any badges - not really bothered if they think its a V6 as once the car is under acceleration there is no mistaking its a V8.
Thank you - the colour gets some very nice comments - it was the deciding factor in its purchase in fact.

Looks nice, goes well; what's not to like? Leave the badges off; Q-Cars are GOOOOOOD.....

-1 for no badges. Sorry. Just my opinion. I think it looks too bare and always gives me the impression that the owner is embarrassed by what it really is (usually something smaller). But the only opinion that really matters is owner's.

Looks stunning, well done. Am all for no badges, mine were all removed by the detailer at my request. :)

Another vote for no badges.... looks so much cleaner and uncluttered. Mine is debadged and I much prefer it that way.
