Hi all, any recommendations for a reliable independent in South Wales please?

I can thoroughly recommend Continental Cars in Cardiff. Been taking my car to them for a couple of years and they've been exceptional.

I can also recommend Continental Cars, used them for my E class and my first ML, have a newer car now so using MB dealer in Swansea but would use them again

As above. I recommend Continental Cars too. Used them for the last couple of years and I’ve always had a good service from them.

They quoted me more than MB for a gearbox service...

Stuttgart were cheaper but more remote

I ended up going with MB Cardiff who in hindsight I kind of think are muppets

Was that because they were going to change the fluid in the torque converter as well , the dealer would only have done a standard ( partial ) fluid change by just draining the gearbox

Another vote for Continental Cars in Cardiff and for Stuttgart Garage. I've used both now. Continental did the B service on my CLS500 yesterday and it's purring like a kitten. Stuttgart looked after my 190E and E270 a decade ago and were very good then.
