Does anyone have experience of sports suspension on a 2006 CLK350?

I've seen one for sale with good spec but the sports suspension might be too hard for high mileage use.

The car also has 17" alloys which don't sound too big but the tyres look like they are very low profile.

If the ride is likely to be toohard I won't bother.

It's on the approved used site at MB Harrogate, I couldn't figure out how to post a link.

I have a 2009 with sports suspension and 18" wheels. I think the CLK was facelifted around 2005/6 so I would presume they are the same.

It is fine, although London potholes will sometimes break a few of my fillings.

Remember MB are quite vague with their recommended tyre pressures. Mine says anywhere between 30 - 36psi if fully loaded and driving at 1000000mph! 30psi is comfy, 33 firm and I imagine 36 would be way too hard.

Thanks Simon, I'd forgotten about a facelift.

Any idea how to tell a facelifted car from a pre facelift?

Only way I can do it is the rear lights.

Post facelift have a single central clear/smoked section whereas the earlier cars had a boomerang shaped clear section. That probably sounds stupid - the earlier ones has two thinner clear sections whereas the facelift has one thick one.

Apart from that, I have no idea....
