I did watch the SL500 video ( obviously ) and loved the 'Guess how much this is going to cost? Yep! £1000 ' element on almost everything he pointed out ( Apart from the struts ...they were £1500 ) Would have made me laugh more if i didn't own that model and have had some of those very jobs done!

I've been watching this guy for a few months now. I watch quite a few 'buy/sell cars' stuff and stuff like this guys.
I was going to post about his videos but did a search here and noted this thread.

I'm no mechanic but I have had my own car since the age of 17 and Mercedes since 2004. Dad had a merc from the early 70's.

IMO, this guy seems very, very honest and very knowledgeable. It's a shame he is not near us. However, the guy said a couple
of months ago he had a massive waiting list so was not taking on any new customers.

He was working on a 200k miles class w204 merc the other day and it was one owner and he'd been looking after it for a few years...

Any mechanics like this in see London?

Totally agree - I did watch the SL500 video, which was scary and amusing ( That'll be a grand !! ) .... I like that honesty ( Don't like the bills though, and they do tend to be a grand per warning light!! )

Could always book in with them and have a mad weekend in Madchester, or a quite one . I'm sure he works on all mercs not only the magnificent 156 he also owns the 156 eclass. Good taste this dude if I say so myself!

Our local dealers I believe are charging over 200 an hour.
not sure what our local indy in Sidcup a few miles from where we live.

I'm sure I heard him mention he charges £100 per hr in one of his many videos.

Could always book in with them and have a mad weekend in Madchester, or a quite one . I'm sure he works on all mercs not only the magnificent 156 he also owns the 156 eclass. Good taste this dude if I say so myself!

If you watch his videos you'll have seen he has said he is so busy that he is not taking on any more new customers.
So booking in with him isn't happening.
