starting problems

my 02 plate c220 cdi fails to turn the engine over after not being used for a couple of days.
It seems that the battery went flat but when a subsitute battery is fitted the engine still fails to turn over. There are no fault codes logged and all the dash lights operate as normal, in fact all seems normal except turning over.
there doesent seem to be any sounds of relays switching over on trying to start.
Any ideas chaps?

well, no help here.
Took it to garage and they sorted it.
Turn's out to be nothing more than fuses.

If it was the fuse for the starter motor change it from a 15amp to a 20amp
