Stiff accelerator

Hi

I recently bought another car (not a MB) and then noticed that the accelerator on my W202 C200 Elegance Auto is stiff and also has play in it. I have to press the accelerator quite long way before the car gets any power. After that everything appears to be allright.

Any suggestions please.

The throttle cable may need greasing / adjusting. And sometimes the plastic pin holding the accelerator pedal in place needs replacing because over time it becomes loose.
