Guys

Two separate 'complimentary vehicle checks' undertaken by different main dealers have identified the following problem/problems and I would like to know if they're the same thing!

One has said my OSR hub bearing bush needs replacing - the other, about 6 months later, makes no mention of this but has said the torsion bar bushes will need replacing soon (both sides).

Does anybody know whether or not these are the same things just different terminology, or are different garages picking up on diffferent problems???

Thanks

Perhaps starting your own thread would get better responses?

They are, perhaps guessing at the cause of the problem. Sometimes difficult to tell until you have removed/replaced the offending item. Often with a knocking from the rear anti-roll bar it's the drop links[ the connectors from the roll bar end to the suspension arm/hub] that fail- so that's a third possibility. Are you experiencing any knocking noises from the rear of the car or is the car exhibiting slightly strange handing problems like wandering at speed or "self steering". If not I would be inclined to leave it or get a third opinion from an independent MB specialist familiar with the model who may not be so vague in their diagnosis.

Go to the top of this page and in the top left corner you will see MBClub UK Forums, click on this and you'll see an index of all the sub-forums. For your question I would click on General Discussion, the click the New Thread button and away you go! :)
