Hi all,
I'm going to follow the instructions on the linked video on this excellent thread (Tambour door | Interior) and while I'm at it I'd like to 'refurb' the surround (part number 2046800207 if I'm not mistaken) as it's a bit tatty on the edges.
New ones are £60, or there are other tatty ones online for less, or aftermarket versions in stainless steel, which I'm not too keen on.... has anyone had any luck renewing / improving trim pieces like this before? Anything you can rub on such as isopropyl alcohol to magically fix the flakiness? Otherwise the option is probably to gently sand then repaint, but that would probably end up looking worse....

any tips appreciated!
