Hi all, apologies if it's a bit freaky getting a notification from this account, this is Molly writing. I decided to log back in today, and it's been so lovely to see that people are still remembering my dad and commenting on the thread I made after his passing . I hope I'll be able to make it to a Benz on the Green event sometime, with my dad there in spirit. Thanks all for the messages of condolence, they have all been read and greatly appreciated. We all feel very fortunate that dad was part of fostering a great community here, and that he hasn't been forgotten. Best, Molly x

Edit to add: Where can I find information on the next Benz on the Green please? I'd love to come, depending on uni timings, and maybe photograph the event if possible. It's been a shame to have missed the last few, and I'd love to see all the cars out again. My partner worked at Silverstone for a short time last year, and we had a fantastic day at the Classics show, which prompted me to get back on the forum. I know dad would be jealous, it was such a good show

I think that your father will always be part of the Forum and any future Benz on the green events

Good to hear from you Molly,

Your dad is still well remembered and was being fondly spoken about at the Benz on the Green just gone.

This event is usually round about the 2nd Saturday in May though this can vary so it's always worth keeping an eye on the "Events" section of the forum when it starts to come round again next year.

Hi Molly

Thanks for posting, your dad is very much missed around here and wont be forgotten.
In fact I was reading a book he sent me only yesterday, your dad and I always enjoyed a chat, I know he loved seeing our Hillman Imps.

Your dad was a great man, he was funny, insightful, and always had a story to tell. He was indeed an integral part of the magic that has built a great community spirit here, and so he will always be remembered.

You dad was always very proud, and I know he would be just the same today.
