Before the snow and ice they were bad.
And we all know what snow and ice do to the surface of roads.:(

Its going to be hell on the UK roads for the foreseeable future. There will be be SO many potholes and cracks its going to be like driving on the surface of the moon.

Be warned and look well ahead and be ready to swerve out the way.
Specially on roads you dont know.

When were you last driving on the moon?
(And if you really thought that you were, may I suggest not driving until the drugs wear off:D)

AND, with gravity on the moon being 1/6th earths gravity, even large potholes will feel like the smallest of imperfections (especially in a Mercedes)

So there.

I have driven on some very rough tracks and country lanes in the Barge, yet the only time I ground out quite badly was when driving through London.

Dave!

Are the roads bumpy then? i never notice in my W115, apprently there are "sleeping policemen" on duty around here, i never see em. ;)

If we all phone our councils and ask how we can put a claim in for a damaged rim because of a pothole, tell them where it is and they will be out like a flash to prevent the claim. They have done this to me in the past.

North Lanarkshire (yes, all of it) is literally covered in potholes. I even know where the ones that were repaired last year are going to rear their ugly underbellies in the near future.

Google have missed out bigtime, people would pay good money for a program like GooglePothole.
