thinking of a change of car ?

Nah never too old, i'm almost 62 and still ride, yeah i cant go as far as i used to but a short ride is better than none IMO, i suffer from rheumatoid arthritis so it can be painful some times, but i can't be without a bike or 2. ;)
Brings back memories when in the summer we used to just go on the bikes with only the crash helmet t-shirt and trainers I don’t think I would try that now

yep.
if I wasn't into my bikes then i would have a big car, but my bikes come first. as the saying goes,

"cars move the body, bikes move the sole" :D;)
There's something very fishy about that quote......

This! My dad still rides and has been since the 1950's, he has three Hondas ( 2 x Fireblades and 1 x Phil Read replica that he has owned since 1980 ). I am a similar age to you Tony ( Oddly enough that is my dad's name!) and love to just go out , even if it just an hour - looking forward to the nicer weather when we have a bike meet and ride out in an evening after work.

Fwiw I commuted on mine yesterday, too sunny & warm not to imho.
It's the first time she's been on the road for a few years now, & when I looked at the new MOT vs the previous I realised she's done nearly 6k miles on track since then. That's 6k bouncing off the rev limiter and with a few too many instances of running whilst prone.
Still think she's striking, even compared to the latest offerings.

never been a sports bike fan, but working in bike shops ive ridded 100's. I always find it hard to ride one slow  but it would be a boring world if we all liked the same thing ;) always wanted to do a track day though.

I get that buddy , it’s a great feeling on a bike . I rode for 20 years , mainly commuting into London , in the end I was on a Fire Brigade course and we had an outside instructor from the ambulance service talking to us about medical intervention at motorcycle accidents when the brigade were first on the scene .
By the Friday I had sold the bike and never rode one again :)

I know where you are coming from, its a very dangerous thing riding on our roads these days !!!! I've been lucky getting knocked off only 3 times, but countless close call's  for me its worth the risk, ;)
