I have recently had my SL500 (91) serviced (indy garage not MB). Since being serviced i have experienced a problem with the throttle. The pedal goes hard at about the midway point and the car will not go above 50mph!!!! This is not what I bought a 5 litre V8 for!!!!
When you push hard and force the pedal to the floor the revs rise but no power is transmitted. It is an intermittent problem but is now more a problem that not.
Anyone else had this problem? Any ideas what it could be? Just want an idea before the garage that did the service tries to rob me blind for something that may be simple or their fault!!!!! I have complained and they are looking at it but deny that it could be anything they did, despite it being fine before they had it!
