TMC - Dead ?

I assume this affects all makes. It seems that Traffic Master are no longer sending traffic data out. There is a Company INRIX that are supposed to be sending data over classic FM. My HU Navi 900 Intellilink will only show the options of Auto, Heart and Heart SX.

Its a shame, I quite liked the traffic warnings showing up.

Did anyone ever use that?....was always more annoying that useful as the info would only ever come through whilst something important was being said on the news or it was your favourite tune playing!....and when they had finished it would not go back to the station for thirty seconds or so. TBH I though that had gone years ago......all that info can be had on your phone or satnav if you need it.

I didnt use it as such. ie I didnt have it enabled for active re-routing but it did give warnings of the motorway having delays/closed etc

You're confusing Traffic Message Channel with RDS-Traffic Announcements . TMC was used with SatNavs and populates the traffic messages section (still works on my car by the way), RDS-TA was massively annoying, I think i've used it once in the last 20 years!).

Thanks....Yes I realised that after the event.....but because this is the only forum I visit with a 20 minute (?) time limit of editing I could do nothing about it. WHY!?
