Tow Bar electrics

Please could somebody advise me on tow bar electrics for my 1999 E300 Turbodiesel. I only wish to fit single socket for motorcycle trailer use.

Glenn,

You will need a special relay unit or the car will think there is a faulty bulb, apart from that its just a matter of finding the correct wires and soldering the connections on.

Thanks for that, I was not too sure if it was this multiplex wiring business, but I do understand the relay. Somebody did mention the fact that there may be a special bunch of wires already to connect up to in the loom at the back somewhere, I will have a look. Cheers!
