I’ll apologise now for answering your questions by not actually answering your questions!

No idea regarding the 2002 Estate towbar, but you could look up part numbers for the two models in question and see whether they fit. Regarding factory fit, your only real option is to fit a car With factory fit towbar which is being broken for spares - it will be like finding a needle ina haystack though as most will be aftermarket.

Speaking of which look for an aftermarket kit from a reputable brand like Westfalia which can be supplied with plug in wiring. In fact, if you order from the MB Parts counter then that’s pretty much what you’ll get, albeit with the additional MB parts numbers applied as a sticker, alongside the aftermarket part number.

As above, not sure on the tow bar, but with electrics, you can buy a dedicated electric or not. If you want, for example, bulb failure on the caravan/trailer lights, you will need dedicated electrics which cost about another £60-£80. On all my mercs bar one, I have never had dedicated electrics. If you are towing a caravan though, make sure you have the 13 pin with charger circuit, not just trailer circuit, it will keep things like your fridge running when towing.
