I bought my car second hand few weeks ago (2019 a35 amg w177) and I've just realised I'm missing the tow hook (the one used to tow the car in case of a breakdown). The dealer said he doesn't have it and to have a look around to buy one and he will reimburse me the money. I've been told the part n. is OM2/D...somebody on another forum with the same car of same year told me the n.
I haven't been able to find one with that part number so the question is: do I need to buy one with that exact part number or there are other compatible ones that I could buy?

I think OP is talking about the recovery hoop that screws in the front bumper when fishing the car out of a ditch. I would imagine they would be all the same on any W177 A class, Although ,knowing MB , there could be 9 different variants .

Dronsfield probably have a box full of them .

Just ask your local Mercedes Parts Dept and give them the VIN.
Simple!

Yes that's what we assumed and probably used across many other models. 🤔

The one for my SL is buried deep in the boot, right at the back (so where the lights are) under all the normal floor panels and slotted in a little holder. You wouldn't know it's there unless you took things apart so maybe yours is similar?

The place where it's supposed to be is empty so I don't have it. I ordered one at my local mb dealer for £25. My car had a couple of previous owner who, I guess, didn't treat her very well
But she's in good hands now 🥰
