1998 ml320
hi, I'm new here any kind of help would be most welcome.
right the problem is I have the ml320 on 1998 the auto box started to play up so I change the atm fluid and filter but didn't fix the problem, in fact, it made it worse sticking in gear. So I check the o ring to see if it had any fluid on it and it did so I change that and the conductor plate but it didn't fix the problem. It still will not go up or down when put into drive it's just stuck in 3rd or 4th. So took to an auto tech guy so I could get the codes clear but he says the tuc module was not working so I got a second hand one (got told has long had the part numbers was the same it will work) it still won@t shift gears up or down. then I've gone and bought a launch x431 creader v11+ scanner clear to all the codes but it still will not go on or down the gears when putting in drive so any kind of help would be most welcome has I don't have a clue many thanks Dave.

Hi Dave, welcome.

Have you checked the fluid levels at the right temperature?
Did you change the pilot bush aka the electrical connector? Was there fluid going up the harness?
Did you use the correct fluid?
What codes does your diag equipment show?

These questions may help get to the bottom of your problem

Oh and this is probably the wrong section for this post (it's a How To section ie tutorials) but maybe a nice member of staff will move it for you
