My son recently purchased a Triumph Rocket 3 in triple black. I think.
Hell of a bike.
As part of the paperwork he received two lock barrels. He wondered what they were for then thought no more about them.
He had planned a tour of Europe and ordered two panniers. They duly arrived minus lock barrels........ Excellent forward planning. One key now fits the ignition and both panniers.

Ducati did the same with the Multistrada when I bought mine back in 2010, although I suspect many of them are scattered to the four winds through successive owners by now!

There's a chap at the Alfa club who has one - amazing, they certainly have a presence! The only issue he had was when we needed to try to bump start it after the battery died (His fault for not having it on a charger). Even with 4 of us there was no way we could bump it!

Wow. Matthew is a chip off the old block.
Over the years he has had a plethora of cars and bikes.
On a tour of Europe at the moment on the Triumph.
In germany there are hotels that welcome bikers. So much so that they have a resident motorcycle mechanic. Also bikes have secure parking.
Things have changed since my motorbike days...

£8000 PLUS vat and another £1500 plus the vodka for the cams.....so £11400 all in....and that assumes you can fit it yourself....if not theres labour on top!! Just buy a faster bike in the first place!!!
I know . I read about it in a UK bike mag a few months back , seemed silly then . If I remember the builders wrote they had to restrict the torque because the drive train couldn't take it .

And yes , there are much faster and better handling bikes out there , but each to their own. I'm old enough to remember when the first Yamaha VMax were released. Similar concept.

I used to work for a Grey Import bike company in Havant.....and we imported quite a few Vmax bikes......the full power ones (many in the UK were restricted) were great fun.......easy to wheelie.....very difficult to land smoothly!!!

And didn't go around corners very well . :D

I thought they handled ok....way better than any Harley or Kawasaki Vulcan.....but sure, they were no race rep.
