Tuner chip box

Hi Guys,

Anyone had any experience with fitting a plug and play tuner chip box? Apparently you fit it, and it works, and so say has no trace of it being there. There's lots of positive reviews online. Im just worried about it damaging the engine, perhaps a bit sceptical!

It says increases of 50 bhp on my e320cdi, which sounds good?!

Any thoughts?

I've used both the DTuK one, and a Brabus one (currently on my E class).

Both made a noticeable difference, the DT one has 21 different user settings, the Brabus just the one, so in terms of settings the DT was more adaptable.

Had the Brabus one not come up as a bargain on EBay Germany I would have stuck with it.

I did have the DT one for sale if of interest..

Out of interest, do you see any difference between the DTUK box and the Brabus one, i have a D6 on mine and just curious if you think its better than the DTUK unit, does it drive differently etc.

I'd say the Brabus is more refined and (maybe) less noticeable, but that's only because there's potential 21 different settings on the DTUK one, ramping it up to the max setting was very aggressive in terms of torque, however, it did have the tendency to set the EML on...

You could argue that the D4 on mine is a specific, more rounded setting and is what it is. The DTUK more customisable. Had I not seen the D4 for a silly price I'd still be using the other one.

I had a TDI Tuning one on the E320CDi I6, and that went very well. I bought a TDI Tuning one for the E350, and that was much the same, only on steroids with knobs on... I kept it when I sold the E350, and will have it remapped for my E320 CDI V6.
