tyre grip in a can!

Snow tyres are obsolete !!!
Just find yourself a wife (or someone else's wife) who's as big as the Michelin Man.

I saw one in ecp the other day... I was curious, and apparently it wears off as soon as you move away (according to the can).

So I reckon a blend of salt and glue or something similar?

M.

depends how big the wife is!

i just fell off the chair laughing

That solution has been available for years, it's Ethylene glycol so melts the ice/snow long enough for you to drive off.

At £20 per litre it's pretty expensive though.

Surely an old bit of carpet is cheaper and better :)

Or some cardboard?

Ethylene glycol is also highly toxic.... and sweet-tasting. Not ideal if you have a cat or a dog (or a toddler).

Ethylene glycol is that the stuff they spray on the wings of planes to stop them freezing

im sure it is

It is actually what the mat in the boot is for...

And ethylene glycol /is/ the antifreeze what you put in the radiator...
