We don’t all have to agree. Forums prosper based upon a balance of agreement and disagreement.@Bobby Dazzler see the post above with the different pressures for summer tyres on 18" or 19" wheels. Both will be XL tyres and both will have a similar (high) speed rating.
In all brands of car I've ever seen you use lower tyre pressures for higher profile tyres. Therefore, I cannot agree with you.
Whilst this is technically accurate, I think they specify a higher pressure with the very low profile tyres in an attempt to keep the rim from hitting the road with the lovely surfaces we are expected to drive on. It’s not a comprehensive answer either, judging by the number of C63 19” rims I’ve sold in the last few years. We don’t all have to agree. The higher tyre pressures are not because of the lower profile lower sidewalls, it’s because of the load rating.
If two tyres have the same load rating but are different sizes, then the tyre pressure will be the same.
Oem 19s.You must be running 18" then.
Then according to the plate on the fuel cap you are much lower than recommended. For my interest do you find that better? When I ran them lower I seemed to get a lot more tyre wear. Perhaps I should try them lower again.Oem 19s.
Mine is a BS, 33/33 is as stated on flapThen according to the plate on the fuel cap you are much lower than recommended. For my interest do you find that better? When I ran them lower I seemed to get a lot more tyre wear. Perhaps I should try them lower again.
That is interesting... So the BS has much lower tyre pressure recommendations for 19s and the same tyre sizes. Could it be because the alloys are forged? But I don't see why that would matter. I may try lowering mine from 38/40 and see if it improves the suppleness at all.Mine is a BS, 33/33 is as stated on flap
See my posts above.
