Afternoon All

I have just a small question if OK?
I managed to have an "off-road" excursion three Weeks ago and hit a curb.
A teenager decided to cross the road in front of me and either slipped off his pedals or missed a gear. I tried to avoid hit and clipped the curb "killing" not nearside wheels.

My question is: I now have 17" Mercedes wheels which have very bad 245/45 cheap worn out tyres on. Would the old girl be OK on 225/45 as I have been offered an awesome deal on a set of All-Season tyres which I had before?

Any opinions welcome and I do not have the handbook. I have searched online and the forum. Online says 225/235 are standard for an 8 X 17" wheel.

Have a safe Weekend.
Thanks All,

Gareth.:thumb:

Me! I would only put on what the 'old girl' had fitted originally.......size wise.

245 seems a bit wide for 17" 8j I'm running 8.5j 18" which are 245 is 245 the factory size from standard?

Make sure all four tyres have the same rolling radius otherwise you'll have all sorts of problems, such as ESP errors and cruise control not working.
