I filled my 190e up with pb ultimate unleaded and since then my idel is up the wall, it never used to do it before when i used it, i havent used it for a few months ,so why the sudden change in idel, any ideas or is it somthing different.

Well in that case still can't offer any help - i use BP Ultimate and it runs smack on the money in terms of idling. If you haven't used it for a few months maybe it just needs a service?
Right, I'm not trying to cause an arguement here because keyboard warriors wind me up, but you know as well as I do that yes maybe the grammar wasn't the best but you understood everything he said, was there any need to be so sarcastic? The chap only wanted a little help, it does my head in, no wonder our country is in such a sh*t state with peoples attitudes being as they are. Give the guy a break FFS.
I can't answer the question, but I had exactly the same problem with a BMW M Coupe. If I used standard unleaded, no problem. Try Ultimate or V-Power and the idle went up the wall too. My solution was to run standard unleaded.
I don't think i would bother with super unleaded in a 190e. I don't think the car was designed to run on such a high grade of fuel.
There should be a black round switch located in the engine bay, you can turn this depending on what type of fuel you are running as it has a few different settings.. I've seen this in some W126/W124 of that era. To my limited knowledge i believe this alters the timing on the engine so may expalin your prob.

BP ultimate is the higher octane fuel if my memory serves. I know, in years gone by if you ran an engine on the old 2 star when it should have 4 star it would pink like hell, Obviously no one would buy a higher octane (star rating) fuel if they didn't need it so I have never experienced what driving on high octane fuel would do to the engine, but increase idling, i would have thought would be one of the symptoms as the mix is effectivley richer. Thats my guess anyway.
It was only about 2months ago i had the timing and idle set,
I will try the black switch( i no the one klp 92 is talking about) and see if there is any change.
But for one thing it does feel alot quicker on acceleration and starts instantly not like it did before.
