Undecided on what to do with my C63

It's not the most sophisticated gearbox. If you are comparing it with a ZF 8 speed then I think you will be disappointed. I'd strongly recommend a drive in another C63 just in case the problems you are experiencing are just a trait of the car.

The noise from the back could just be rust on the discs or a trapped stone.

What else would you buy instead though?

Sod’s law says you buy something else and have some other problems, or suffer ££££ PA in depreciation instead

You must like the car from what you’ve said, I can’t think it’s anything terminal that can’t be fixed. As said, MSL or Mercland up your end of the country should be able to advise you accordingly - has to be worth a try :)

I think they mean it depends what you paid for the car, if you paid through the nose then it’s a kick in the teeth, but if you bagged a bargain then the WBAC offer may not be so bad.

Seen a few good reports on this place from Facebook posts, worth considering if you suspect transmission issues,

Also rather than WBAC, try Arnold Clarke, and another good one is Wizzle (garages bid on your car, car was collected from my home address)

OP, are you in the London (East) or Essex area?

If so, take it into Williams Gem-Tech in Romford, Essex. They’ll diagnose. They’re an independent Mercedes specialist. I highly recommend them.

I don't think 30k OTR was what you call a bargain direct order from MB 🙂 i new what he meant just taking the p155

🤨 30k OTR, deduct 20% VAT, 10% ish for no previous owners, zero mileage etc... the offer from WBAC doesn’t seem too bad.

Loose 11k in 1 day 🤔 I've just got nearly that offer as a trade in with 28k onit so basically 3 year's running for free based on WBAC valuation

Dude, with all due respect, you sold a car previously because of a botched exhaust job. I think you've already made your mind up so just let everyone know what the replacement is.

:devil::D

I doubt the OP will get £18.500 for it if sold privately admitting the problems he's having (that's if he admits the problems) so he either bites the bullet and get rid or sort it out if i remember correctly he's had problems with this from day 1 on another thread 🤔

Sold to webuyanycar.com.....

Feeling a sense of relief to be honest.....here is to the new chapter :-)

Well done hope you have better look with the next 1 👍

Good for you. If you are relieved, it was obviously the right decision for you. Any ideas on your next one?

Sarah Ann Thank you.....to be fair as others have said something wasnt right with the car from the begining. It had an awful lot of money spent at Merc but it still was quite rough at times, especially when the car was warmed up. The gearbox was quite rough and I think there may have been a problem with the diff. Lately Iv also been spending £70 a week on fuel and in the end I think getting shut was the best thing....

Being a BMW Nut im looking at maybe the M240i/435d M Sport...also considering the Golf R...if I can find a half decent example.....

Keep us posted on what you get  I nearly bought a 69 reg metallic white M240i a car or two ago at the Hull dealer. It only had less than 2k miles on at £27k but the owner had put a big carbon spoiler on the rear and carbon mirrors and stripes on the bottom. It was a bit too in your face for me so I got something else but the 3 litre interested me. I had a 330d a few cars ago and that sounded nice even though it was diesel.
Enjoy your search. Did webuyanycar.com stick to their offer? I've never used them.

I got £600 less than they offered but to be honest I was in the mindset of just wanting to get rid to be honest.......The 330d is a great car, I had one in Estoril Blue, it looked and sounded superb...

To be honest I think AMG Cars are the dogs bollocks but as an all rounder BMW are better cars

I've had 2 530d's estates quite capable cars as an all-rounder i agree the AMG is a complete animal i only drive mine every now and then.i wish you look in your next car try a jag I've got the xfs 3.0d had it 3 year's use it every day love it 😀

Ive always used WBAC - for a few grand I can never be bothered with private sales or bumming it into the trade
